MWC 2017 opens today, big announcements expected

The biggest mobile industry trade show of the year, the famous Mobile World Congress (MWC), started today in the capital of Catalonia, the beautiful Barcelona. This is the show that everyone that loves mobile technology must check out because the most important companies from around the world are expected to announce their new models and ideas for the future.

LG is expected to show to her fans the brand new G6. The new flagship was presented yesterday in a separate event and now in MWC 2017 fans will have the opportunity to check what is it all about from close. LG announced that the G6 will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4gbs RAM and a 5.7 inch IPS display. The Korean company had to ditch the experiment of the modular G5, since sales were not satisfactory, and fans were not convinced to buy all the accessories that LG was selling. The new phone will be waterproof and it will support wireless charging. It is expected to be in stores by 9th March.

Samsung, the second Korean giant electronics company, has decided to reveal their new flagship Samsung S8 phone in a separate event towards the end of March. Rumors say that perhaps in MWC 2017 Samsung will make a teaser about the final date of the presentation. The Koreans will be having the new Galaxy S3 tablet which has a 9.6 inch AMOLED display and it will be able to support High Dynamic Contrast (HDR) content. Another addition will be the Samsung Gear VR with a new controller powered by Oculus.

The Chinese answer to Samsung and LG is named Huawei and it will be present at the MWC2017. Huawei has collaborated with Leica, a very famous German optics manufacturer, GoPro and Pantone to empower the new flagships codenamed P10 and P10 Plus with the best there is in matters of technology. Hardcore fans believe that the new P10 is going to be the best mobile phone for taking pictures in 2017. Huawei is also going to unveil her latest series of smartwatches. The Chinese company is already using aggressive marketing tactics in order to infiltrate the markets of European Union countries and of the United Kingdom.

Lenovo, the owner company of Motorola, will present the new handsets named G5 and G5 Plus. Lenovo decided this year to make premium feel phones for cut-price costs. The Chinese left the plastic behind and preferred a metal finish that gives a higher quality feeling to the user. The new handsets will have 5 and 5.2 inch Full HD screens, the latest Android 7.0 Nougat software and a variety of processors and memory RAM to choose from. If you would like to give it a shot, prices will be starting from less than 200 pounds.

Sony will be revealing the new Xperia XZ and Xperia XZ Plus in the MWC2017 with the launch date being somewhere in late Spring. Nokia, a blast from the past, is hitting the mobile market once again with a phone that many of us have as a memory. The legendary 3310 is re-launching and this time comes with a 2.4 inch color display, a 2MP camera and 2.5G connection. The Snake game will be also available to remind us how many years have passed since 2000.

MWC 2017 starts today and will end in the 2nd March. It seems that it is going to be a marvelous experience for any tech loving visitor.
